 In this article I'm going to share my story on how I found the cheapest hotel in Shillong near Police Bazar.

So first of all I would like to start my journey from the beginning. On 11th June, 2023, I have started my journey from Guwahati Paltan Bazar at around 12pm in Sharing Sumo (It is a name of a vehicle made by Indian Company TATA) and reached Shillong at around 4pm. 

After reaching Shillong, I started searching for budget hotel in Police Bazar. I didn't had to struggle much. I was just walking down the street and an unknown person came toe asked me If I need a hotel. When I said him that I want a low budget hotel, then he pointed out one hotel nearby.

The name of the hotel was Hotel Hariom. This hotel is located at Quinton Road which is just a few steps from the centre point of Police Bazar. 

I went to the hotel and asked the hotel owner if there's a room available. He gave me one single bedded room which costed me Rs 300 per night. The room was very small, but sufficient for single person. The also had a double bedded room which was

 Rs 750  per night. But since I was a single person with a very low budget, so I opted for single bedded room.

1) What is the price range of the hotel?

Answer: The price ranges from 300 to 1000 Rs.

2) What are the facilities offered by the hotel?

Answer: The hotel offers basic facilities such as light, fan, blanket, pillow,etc.

3) Is there bathroom available in the hotel?

Answer: If you take double bedded room, then you will get bathroom.  But there is no bathroom available in single bedded room 

4) Is there toilet available?

Answer: Yes

5) What is condition of the room?

Answers: The condition of the room that I stayed was average. It was neither too good nor too bad.

6) How to book the room?

Answer: You can book the room by calling them on phone or you can book after reaching here.

7) Can I book the room online?

Answer: I'm not sure.

8) Is it safe to stay here?

Answer: To be an honest, I have stayed here two nights and didn't got any problem. The only problem I got was people from other rooms were making too much noise.

9) Should I stay here?

Answer: If you have a low budget and you don't have any other option then you can stay in this hotel.

10) Is there eating facilities available here?

Answer: Yes, they offers varities of food at a very reasonable price. But only vegetarian food is available here.

11) What is the quality of food?

Answer: Average.

12) How far is the hotel from Police Bazar?

Answer: It takes less than 5 minutes from police bazar by walking.

13) Do they provide free Wifi?

Answer: There was no free Wifi facilities provided when I visited here.

14) Do you need an ID to stay here?

Answer: Yes. You need a valid ID to stay here. (Aadhar card is best. Take a print copy of your Aadhar Card before going here.)

15) Can a foreigner stay here?

Answer: This hotel currently allows only Indian citizens to stay here. If you are foreigner then there are plenty of good hotels in Shillong.

In Conclusion, I would like to say that, This hotel is good for those people who came to Shillong with a very low budget and can't afford to waste too much money in hotels.

If you have a budget, then you can choose other hotels to stay in Shillong whose price ranges from Rs 1500 to Rs 10000 . It varies from season to season.
